Azalea — Order of the Burning Hills
“In the fading sun, embers drift; blood spatter blooms into birdsong.”
A sliver of cliff-born fire is inlaid into the bamboo’s green.
Not the whole bloom is carved — only the moment of half-opening.
Five blade-like petals are thin enough to slice the dusk,
their center still curling with an unspent spark.
When the wind slips through the bamboo seams,
it sounds like flecks of red shattering against iron-gray cliffs.
Its delicate form sways like spring itself,
forcing its way up from a crevice in the desolate mountains.
Peony — Scroll of Brocade
“Sheltered behind jade screens, it clings to its fragrance, refusing the dust.”
Ah, the peony —
any blossom born from bamboo carries a hint of pride.
Its petals are deeply layered, hiding half a moonbeam in their folds,
like an unopened silk scroll unfurling its golden tassels.
Though famed for its nobility, it bears a scar at the base of its bloom —
a reminder of the stem that tore through winter’s chill,
shattering a roomful of delicate dreams.
Its shadow sways,
claiming a glorious beauty on behalf of all flora that refuse to bow.
Daylily — Spring Letter Woven
“I lift my brush to write of longing, only to have a golden needle pierce my heart.”
When the daylily grows upon bamboo, it stores away every flame.
Its petals arc gently, six filaments dipped in bamboo dew;
its veins wander in low relief like rain marks across green paper.
Hang it beside your tea or incense — within rising mist, the blossom blurs,
like a mother threading her lamp and sewing dried daylily
into the lining of her child’s traveling coat.
When hardship comes and you lower your gaze,
half a blossom of spring hangs upon your collar —
still spinning sorrow into fresh cotton.

Care Instructions
-
Avoid friction or impact with hard objects, as even slight contact may leave scratches.
-
Keep away from extreme temperatures and humidity to prevent cracking, deformation, loss of luster, or mildew.
-
Wipe gently with a soft flannel cloth to maintain its sheen — avoid soap, detergents, or chemical cleaners.
-
Bamboo prefers moisture; in dry climates (e.g., the north), nourish occasionally with oil and avoid prolonged high-temperature exposure.
-
Frequent handling in the palm helps the surface become smoother and glossier. If not handled often, wrap in cotton cloth when stored.
